The town Pacific Harbor is a popular destination for divers around the world. It is one of the easiest spots to book tours to Beqa Reef and Yanuca Island. Vatulele Island is one of the few islands well worth a stop for archeological excavations. Water sports such as sailing, fishing, kayaking, surfing and diving should be on your top list of things to do. There is also a world-class golf course, opportunities for excellent shopping and one of the best places for evening entertainment.

Pacific harbor and its offshore islands and reefs are world renowned for its richness in coral. The strong oceanic current and many underwater volcanoes provide the region with high nutrient waters creating excellent habitats for corals. There are many passages through the reef, steep walls, stunning wrecks, drift dives and beautiful decorated coral heads. Beqa Lagoon is an almost circular 40 mile long reef formed because of an underwater crater lake. You will spot schools of fish, huge strands of hard and soft corals, and it is also one of the best shark feeding destinations in Fiji.
