Malolo and Malolo Lailai are situated east of the Malolo Barrier Reef that creates excellent dive sites and nutrient channels.

Malolo and Malolo Lailai are the two largest islands of the Mamanuca Group separated by a narrow channel. Several resorts can be found on both islands, mainly on the eastern side. Malolo consists of mangroves and coastal forests and the villages Yaru and Solevu. Malololailai is accessible by airplane and also one of the busiest places with quite a few resorts. Its western reef, the Malolo Barrier Reef, acts as a barrier and is the main reason why the beaches on the west of Malolo are so relaxed and beautiful. Other privately owned island resorts nearby are Qalito Island.
